When the sunlight hits the water just right, you can feel the sun in the depths, enjoying the ways the lights shimmer around you as you swim, circling in the different parts of the light as it changes in the waters above, the different areas, the shine, how everything lights up and darkens as clouds pass over in the sky, all these things and more are things that make a Mer swim round and round, just for the sheer fun of it.

 The Fantasy Faire Events - Lit Fest Tours

The Fantasy Faire is open, and the events are up and running. Not only are there amazing Events and Quests and parties galore but there are also The Lit Fest Tours.

These are fantastically organised events where the World Maker (if we are lucky) has the time alongside whoever is taking the tour and comes along and explains the region's design and all the fabulous little bits and pieces that are part of their designs.

Today I took part in the Lit Fest Tour of Ogham, Built and Sponsored by Jinx.  The brains and beauty behind this amazing region is Julala Demina who came along today and taught everyone about the region.  There is so much knowledge in this region, to go about the region there is a side quest which begins in the caves.  There is such a lot of amazing stuff to find out about and I am not going to give any spoilers but Have as much fun as we did today.

Today the Lit Fest Tours are tours are Whispering Pages (led by Gwen Enchanted) at 1pm and Thunus Bay, led by Walton Wainright at 5pm. Be in the region early for that one: it is always packed. Times are in SLT

Go along, have fun, learn a little and take some fab pictures.  These are totally free and so much fun!  Each one is so different and they happen every year.  So happy to have these and a HUGE thank you to all of the World Builders for the time and effort they have put into these regions for us to enjoy and to putting lore into them and fab things to find and play with as well as the awesome shopping regions, Donation kiosks and events........Enjoy your Fantasy Faire folks!

Knew she was named after someone famous in her world but did not know them.  She was meant for more than she wanted, what she wanted was to be allowed to float on Dandelion seeds and enjoy the places she was carried off to and as much as the flying, also the journey home, meeting many new and old friends alike, spending time after the mists parted to see her friends only this once a year, to meet up, drink, eat, be merry and to party like she had never known anywhere else. For she was at The Fairelands, where the worlds collide once a year and everyone is allowed in.  FUN was to be had and she was not about to miss it!

This is an update from a picture I had taken of myself many years ago for The Fantasy Faire back in 2015 by ღ Cata ღ  (Catalina Staheli) with a pose and a card that asked Why I relay!  Back then I had lost a few people to Cancer aka The Unweaver.  Now I have lost a lot more 9 years later.  

The effects of Cancer are terrible, to those who have it, to the people who lose family and loved ones and friends to it, and to the people who lose not just people but pets and animals whom they love within.  It affects all people everywhere and there is rarely a life it's black tendrils of ugliness it hasn't reached out to.

My Father has Prostate Cancer, My Mother had leukemia and my Stepfather died of Stomach Cancer and that's just my immediate family.  It is why I am such a huge fan of any Cancer research and supporting it in any way,  I just hope we find a cure in my lifetime!  Keep believing folks, and please keep going to The Fantasy Faire and helping out any way you can!
